The Cambridge money app gives you the freedom to keep a check on your finances on the go.

Now you can have access to your accounts and balances whenever you need them, right from the palm of your hand.

It's simple to get set up and login. Once you're set up, future logins are easy. With a 5-digit passcode and fingerprint or face ID giving you quick and secure access to your accounts on the go.

What can you do on the app?

The Cambridge money app gives you a simple, secure way to manage your savings anytime, anywhere. 

With the app, you can:

Open and manage your account: Open online savings accounts, track balances, see transaction history, access statements and view account information (such as interest rate for savings and mortgages)

Move your money: Transfer to your nominated account via secure message (all accounts), and transfer money to your nominated account* or another Cambridge account (online savings account only)

Savings & planning: Set up maturity instructions for your savings, create and track personalised savings goals

Your details & preferences: Update contact details (including email address and phone numbers), personalise account names, reset your login details and inform us of any vulnerabilities or special requirements.

*You’re only able to transfer money to your nominated account, you cannot add new payees. If you’d like to set up or change your nominated bank account, please call us on 0345 601 3344 or pop into your nearest branch.

Getting started with the app

Getting set up is quick and straightforward. Follow these steps to access your branch based account online for the first time.

First-time login steps

  1. Request your User ID
    Pop into your local branch or give us a call on 0345 601 3344.
    If you’ve opened your account online, your login details may already have been sent to you.
  2. Download The Cambridge Money App
  3. Create your password
    Select ‘Forgotten/Create Password’ and follow the steps.
  4. Enter your details
    You’ll be asked for your User ID and personal details, such as your name, date of birth and postcode.
  5. Verify your identity
    We’ll send a one-time verification code to your registered mobile or email.
  6. Set up your login
    Enter your verification code, create your password, and set your memorable question and answer.
  7. Set your passcode and preferences
    Choose a 5-digit passcode and, if you’d like, enable Touch ID or Face ID for quicker future logins.

Login details explained

User ID
Choose something that’s easy for you to remember — like a name or word that means something to you. If you forget it, you can reset it online, in branch, or over the phone.

Password requirements
Your password must:

  • Be between 8–16 characters long
  • Include at least one capital letter
  • Include at least one number

Memorable word
This is an extra layer of security. It must:

  • Be between 6–16 characters
  • Not include spaces
  • Not be case sensitive

Tip: For better security, use a mix of letters and numbers, and choose a different password for each website.

Need help logging in?

If you’ve forgotten your login details — including your password, passcode, memorable word or User ID — you can reset them in the app or by calling our Customer Contact Centre on 0345 601 3344.

Using biometric login

You can use biometric login (such as fingerprint or face recognition) to quickly and securely access the Cambridge Money App.

When you first log in, the app will prompt you to enable biometric login if your device supports it and you have the latest version of the app installed.

If you choose not to enable it straight away, or want to change your preference later, you can do this at any time. Simply select the three dots in the top right corner, choose the person icon, and go to the security section to enable or disable biometric login.

Our services are tested by independent experts to help keep your details and money safe, and no banking data is stored on your device. To stay protected, make sure you keep your device and app up to date, use strong and unique passwords, and never share your login details with anyone.
